A chip off the block
While we cooked up a storm on Thanksgiving, I pulled out a project I’ve had in the works, for the kiddos:
I filled our half-gallon milk cartons (the cardboard kind) with water and froze them. Instant ice blocks! A couple of screw drivers later, the kids were hard at work, chipping away. It helped that the weather was a balmy 75 degrees. (Oh Austin, how I love you in the winter!)
The activity was a hit, and only slightly traumatic, when the kids came out a couple hours later and found their creations (“idols”, they called them) were nothing but puddles on the cement.
