Our Minnesota Christmas

December 26, 2010

So much snow. Quite cold. Seth said it felt like we lived in Bedford Falls. A new tradition born at Kruger’s Christmas Tree Farm. Sledding. Ice skating at Rice Park in St. Paul, and a discovery of Candy Land, where we all had our first taste of sugar plums. They have been dancing in our heads ever since. Hot chocolate. Jars and jars of caramel corn. (Follow this recipe and your tastebuds will never be the same again.) A quiet Christmas Eve of pizza (because all the Chinese restaurants were closed) and the Christmas Story reenactment, complete with a drummer boy (his idea), a wise man who took his role very seriously, and a renegade shepherd. A gathering around the piano where Our! Boys! Accompanied! Us! Singing!

And a Christmas morning that rolled out as gently as falling snow. Christmas 2010 was picture perfect.

Oh my tiffany! You just make me want to fly to MN right now! The pictures are so beautiful! And I love seeing Asher stuffed into 5 coats! He can’t get cuter than that! Along with your boys, I have drank about a gallon of hot chocolate! (And have you still gone without sweets during the Christmas holiday!?? I’m totally impressed!)
    LOVE YOU ALL.
