Blink, and summer is over…
And I have three children headed off on a school adventure.
That included one ready-made kindergartner who marched onto the bus without a backward glance at Mom and Dad. It was a proud day for Preston to finally join his brothers.
Then the bus rumbled away and it was just me and little Asher, looking at each other wondering what we were going to do with ourselves. Ha! Just kidding. The two of us always have more than enough to do. That included taking Seth down to campus to teach his first class of the semester, hopping back in the car, and shuttling him off to the airport for a week-long conference adventure in Wales. (Hi Honey! How’s Europe since we left it last?)
We got home just in time to welcome the boys home and hear the details of their first day: rules, new songs, new lockers, new friends, and the strong desire to use hard-earned Tooth Fairy money to buy hot lunch. It’s going to be another busy, lovely school year.
(And for the hundreds of you clamoring for the rest of my England update, it’s coming! As is the the rest of the summer recap, just as soon as I wrap my head around this new school routine…)
