A needed break
For some of us, spring break was two weeks this years, which left plenty of time for: waterparks, two trips to the children’s museum (and our favorite candy shop), the first bonfires of the season, the first backyard camping of the season, an annual St. Patrick’s Day visit from the leprechaun, lots of light-saber fights, pick-up basketball, playing on the shore of the lake, hiking the Lake Elmo Park Preserve, instrument making AND a first-place finish in the Pinewood Derby. (We don’t have any secrets to offer to explain the Lewis winning streak, except to wait until five minutes before the competition to drill giant holes all over the body of the car. Oh, and get yourself a pair of awesome friends to help you build a fantastic car. Thanks Amy and Kevin!)
We’re back in the swing of our usual routine around here, but that break, which coincided with some of the most lovely March days Minnesota has ever seen, was just what we all needed. At ease!
